Leadership Institute + Strategic Planning Retreats

The Leadership Institute gives you intensive foundational training in the summer to build your School Strategic Plan. Strategic Planning Retreats then provide dedicated time for your leadership team to refine, align, and execute that plan at critical moments throughout the school year.

Together, they create a continuous planning cycle: individual training sets the direction, team retreats drive collective reflection and execution.

Why This Combination Works

Leadership Institute provides the foundation, while Strategic Planning Retreats create the team alignment needed to execute:

1. From individual learning to team application. The Leadership Institute gives you intensive grounding in Accelerate Institute’s frameworks and strategic planning approach in the summer. Then, at the Mid-Year (Dec) and Annual (May) retreats, you bring those frameworks and tools to your leadership team, creating shared understanding and collective commitment to your school’s strategic direction.
   
2. A strategic planning cycle that matches the school year. Build your initial School Strategic Plan at the Leadership Institute in the summer. Attend the Mid-Year retreat to refocus spring priorities with your team based on fall progress. Then use the Annual retreat to celebrate the year and set strategic direction for the upcoming school year, all grounded in the frameworks and planning approach you learned at the Leadership Institute.
   
3. Consistent frameworks across both experiences. Both the Leadership Institute and Strategic Planning Retreats are grounded in the Accelerate Framework and Transformational Leadership Building Blocks. What you learn individually in the summer becomes the common language and planning approach you use with your team throughout the year.
   
4. Continuity with your coach. The same Accelerate Institute coaching team who supports you through the Leadership Institute will facilitate your retreats, bringing understanding of your strategic plan and leadership goals to help your entire team build actionable semester plans.
