Join Us In Chicago: Dedicated Time for Your Team to Reflect, Reconnect, and Refocus
Strategic Planning Retreats give school leaders and their leadership teams dedicated time to step back from daily operations and focus on what matters most. Each two-day retreat includes professional development, reflection, and strategic planning time to help your team align on priorities and create actionable plans for the semester ahead.
All programming is led by Accelerate Institute’s expert coaching team, who provide individualized direction, insight, and feedback into each school team’s strategic planning process.
Pricing (per retreat):
- $2,500 per school (includes principal + 2 leadership team members)
- Breakfast and lunch are included
- Additional team members are $650 each
- Travel and accommodation costs are not included
Eligible alumni get a 20% discount.
How It Works
While we recommend attending both retreats to ensure the most complete strategic planning experience for your team, you can choose to attend one or both. With support from Accelerate Institute coaches, each school team names its semester goal, identifies two key priorities (one instructional, one cultural), and leaves with a full strategic plan centered on those priorities.
Each day also includes embedded moments for reflection and inspiration for leaders to remind themselves why we do this work and the collective power of coming together as a community.
District/network leaders are also welcome to attend. If you have more than one school from your district attending, this can be especially useful to build cross-school collaboration and alignment.
Mid-Year Strategic Planning Retreat (December 7-8, 2026):
Reflect on the first semester and refocus priorities for the second half of the year
Registration deadline: November 6
Annual Strategic Planning Retreat (May 17-18, 2027)
Celebrate the year’s progress and plan strategically for the upcoming school year
Registration deadline: April 16
