Our Approach
Accelerate Institute’s approach to school improvement support is grounded in our Theory of Action: to increase the number of high-performing schools, schools and districts must build and continuously improve systems that drive sustainable change.
We work with leaders and teams through coaching, tools, and ongoing professional learning so they can solve real challenges in their schools and districts.
Frameworks and Tools
Drawing from the lessons of transformational school leaders who have successfully closed opportunity gaps, we have created a roadmap for continuous school improvement, one that builds leadership capacity, strengthens systems, and fosters coherence across teams and classrooms.
- Accelerate Framework®: The Accelerate Framework is based on patterns found in successful gap-closing schools and can be used to assess a school’s strengths, areas of growth, and opportunities. Successful schools excel at all six objectives – it is not an à la carte menu.
- Transformational Leadership Building Blocks® (TLBB): The Transformational Leadership Building Blocks are the adaptive leadership skills or characteristics a leader needs to cultivate to effect change. It is not expected that a school leader will excel in each area. The goal is that the leader is leveraging their strengths and consistently working to improve in their areas of growth.
- Accelerate Online: We leverage technology through Accelerate Online, our unique platform designed to support school improvement. This platform supports the growth and development of schools with intuitive dashboards that guide continuous improvement and ensure all students meet their academic goals.
