The Principal Fellowship is a targeted development program created by Accelerate Institute for aspiring school principals. Fellows are uniquely qualified to accelerate student achievement and join a national corps of transformational school leaders.
What makes the Principal Fellowship unique and effective?
Principal Fellows embark on an individualized three-year leadership development program in which they acquire the skills and resources needed to yield high academic achievement for students.
Participants begin the Fellowship Year (Year 1) at the Summer/Winter Institute at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
Principal Fellows then advance to a Field Study at an autonomous school in their region, or within their existing school or network. In doing so, they have the opportunity to complete an intensive action research program while receiving direct support and feedback from an Accelerate Institute Advisor.
Fellows receive two additional years of strategic planning support, advisory services and professional development after stepping into a principal position.
Become a part of the movement by helping us identify our next cohort of high-impact leaders who will close the achievement gap in our nation’s schools.
